Artificial intelligence has made great strides in recent years, and the music industry is no exception. But when it comes to musicians, it's important to understand that the real value of AI in music creation is not about creating music at the push of a button, but about supporting the artist. Something that will allow artists to find new depth of expression within themselves. Something that will transform how music is created, and permanently elevate our ability to express the music in our hearts.

Maya Ackerman is a professor of AI at the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Santa Clara University, as well as a singer, songwriter and music producer. She earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, held Postdoctoral Fellowships at Caltech and UC San Diego, and has published over 50 peer-reviewed research publications. On top of that, she is also the CEO and co-founder of AI lyric-generating platform, LyricStudio, and AI melody-generating platform, MelodyStudio.

There is no doubt that she has some really interesting things to say about the “new” Technological disruption in the creative industries.

Maya Ackerman er professor i kunstig intelligens ved informatikk- og ingeniøravdelingen ved Santa Clara University, samt sanger, låtskriver og musikkprodusent. Hun fikk sin doktorgrad i informatikk fra University of Waterloo, hadde postdoktorstipend ved Caltech og UC San Diego, og har publisert over 50 fagfellevurderte forskningspublikasjoner. På toppen av det er hun også administrerende direktør og medgründer av AI-lyrikkgenererende plattformen, LyricStudio, og AI-melodigenererende plattformen, MelodyStudio.
